All in, with one exception
Dutch agencies generally quote a rate that includes VAT and covers the usual elements of an appointment, so nothing is itemised afterwards. The single exception is travel, which is added on top and should be named before the booking is confirmed.
That structure is worth checking rather than assuming. Agencies that add surcharges on the evening itself are the source of most complaints in this market.
Couples
Some agencies charge no surcharge for a couple, applying the same rate listed on the profile. Others do add one. The difference runs into hundreds of euro on a single evening, so it is a question worth asking directly.
Profiles state whether someone accepts couple bookings at all. Where it says no, it means no, and moving on saves time for everyone.
Longer bookings
Beyond five hours most agencies apply a discount percentage that grows with the length of the booking. A weekend therefore costs considerably less per hour than two separate evenings.
A dinner date is commonly priced as a two hour booking, with about two and a half hours available in practice. Extending during the appointment is usually possible.
Paying
Cash at the appointment remains the most common arrangement and leaves the least behind. Bank transfer is possible with most agencies, which normally keep the description on the statement neutral.
Advance payment through methods that cannot be traced or reversed is a reason to stop. No established agency in the Benelux requires it.
